How-To Datalog

Since there are frequently questions about how to datalog I've decided to write up a short tutorial.

Start fastworks, connect the cable to the vehicle. Start it.
In the ECU menu select connect.
In the window menu select datalog list.
You still see a screen with a list of items that can be logged.

The red squares are not presently being logged. If you double click on them they turn green and are added to the list of items to log.

When you want to start logging you can click on the record button. This will log the incoming data in a .csv file and put it in your datalogging directory.

Different vehicles may have slightly different names but the following are very useful for creating tuning logs.
RPM, MAP, MAF voltage, Ignition Timing, Throttle Position, Knock count, Fuel Target Mixture.
