turning off rear o2 sensors/

Post by rdb420 » Tue Mar 22, 2016 6:45 pm

I am about to install a header and cat delete pipe. can I eliminate the rear o2 sensors or do I have to extend them and put them in the cat delete pipe? also I need an updated tune the header and cat delete pipe are both obx and are heat wrapped also I only use premium gas.

The front and rear o2 sensors share the same circuit for the heaters so you can remove functionality of them but you can't physically remove them or you will get a rear o2 sensor heater fault.

so should I use spacers for the o2 sensors or not? and if I don't use the spacers do I need to turn the sensors off? what about getting an updated tune?

you can run cat-less, just leave the rear O2 sensor installed, you do not need to space any sensors. You can disable the rear O2 in fastworks via configuration > configuration scalars, leave the heaters enabled.
