Re: new tuner

When you do the install process it should write the VIN to your car. It's specific to your case because the 2004 did not originally support the VIN.

Re: new tuner

Think we could setup a time and connect via teamviewer? If you're not able to connect to the ECU that could be a different problem than if you're not able to flash it.

Re: new tuner

You can add a pin to your obd2 plug and wire it to the same wire as the adapter plug. I believe it goes to pin 11 on the obd2 plug.

Re: tuning off o2 sensors

Ouch! I think the bosch sensors are fine as long as they are real bosch not the chinese clones. I'm used to aftermarket direct fit sensors. Before you go changing them make sure you test the sensor properly to ensure it's not a wiring issue.

Re: tuning off o2 sensors

The best solution is to replace the sensor assuming the problem isn't just a wiring problem. Second to that you could install a resistor to trick the circuit but that's overly complicated when a new sensor is only $60.

Re: tuning off o2 sensors

The front and rear heater circuits are both tied into the same code so there is no way to independently disable the heaters. The best strategy is to ensure that the wiring on your sensors is good and if the heater has really failed, then replace the sensor. The disable function in FastWorks disables...

Re: christmas sale?

When I get a paypal payment I take the VIN an add it to the license server - so that part is done right away. You then download and install the software. First time you run it you will setup an account on the license server when you fill out the registration stuff. I then approve that account and as...

Re: now what?

When the mods list is sent to tuning@fastworks.com it opens a workorder for me to create a tune. You should expect the tune to be added to that workorder and you will get an email back with it.
